My Journey

My Creed

I believe each of us has a purpose and everyone has got a lesson to learn and a lesson to teach in this life.

I believe true healing can only be achieved when the people seeking treatment are willing to become their own healers. All else is just getting by.

I believe health and wealth are the two fundamental building blocks upon which all empires are built.

I believe there are many roads that lead to health and wealth , and that all of them are valid. It just happens that mine is built on the ancient wisdom of the Tao.

I believe people who have chosen to become practitioners, therapists, and healers in any form of medicine, have done so based on their inner calling for this path. Therefore, all of them have my utmost respect and admiration and I will never regard them as competitors or rivals, but as esteemed colleagues and practitioners of the healing arts.

My Story

Many people ask me why I chose traditional Chinese medicine and healing arts. I guess of all the paths, this one spoke to me in a way that it made perfect sense. It is the path that still holds endless mysteries and still fascinates me as it did the first day I discovered it, many years ago.

I read my first book on Chinese acupuncture when I was eight. As a child, I did not fully understand what the book was saying, but one thing was clear to me: there were people out there who created this kind of magical medicine that worked on different principles than the ones taught in my biology classes at school. It worked on something called Qi.

As a teenager, I started reading about alchemy, homeopathy, Kabbalah, yoga and the chakras, numerology, astrology, crystal therapy, witchcraft and divination, Tarot, energy healing, acupressure, telepathy and ESP. I met like-minded people who taught me to keep an open mind and shared their experiences with me. Yet, the one closest to my heart always remained the one speaking of Qi, Yin and Yang, five elements and this wonderful medicine system that stems from the Tao.

Fast forward, in my early 40s, I feel this urge to make big changes in my life and my lifestyle. As Lao Tzu says, new beginnings are often disguised as painful endings.  I end a decade of a promising academic career as a Senior Lecturer at this prestigious university in the capital of Transylvania by handing in my resignation. I jump on the first plane to the UK, where this wonderful man is waiting for me with open arms and lots of patience and love. He encourages me to learn and put to good use my lifelong passion for the Taoist healing and metaphysical arts.

I completed my studies in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Acupuncture and Tui Na massage and manipulation at the Shulan College of Chinese Medicine in Manchester. I had wonderful teachers and my practical hours at the clinic taught me a lot about this beautiful medicine.

A Chinese proverb says: Give a man a fish and you’ll feed him for one day. Teach the man how to fish and you’ll feed him for a lifetime. My college studies in TCM not only taught me how to fish, they gave me a proper permit to do this, and an insatiable appetite.

My Purple Jade Beads

What we call traditional Chinese medicine today is just one of the precious jade beads produced by the ancient beliefs contained in the Tao. There is an entire constellation of internal alchemy practices, healing arts and metaphysical arts, all covering a different aspect of this mystical way.

Purple Jade Holistics is my clinic which provides treatments and other services (in-situ and online) to the people seeking health and wealth, and who wish to embrace the principles and methods of the Tao.

Purple Jade Academy for Healing Arts is the name of the learning centre which provides courses and workshops (in-situ and online) to all the people seeking to become practitioners of the marvelous arts of the Tao.

I cannot take the journey for you, but I can travel with you for a while.

Your humble fellow traveller
